A rainforest under glass

The Green Planet is a glass bio-dome at City Walk, kept at 24 to 27°C all year. You follow the rainforest from the canopy, where birds fly free, down through the midstory to the dark forest floor, around a replica tree about 25 metres tall, then see the flooded rainforest's giant fish and piranhas.
