Yas Island in Abu Dhabi has four big parks within a few minutes of each other. Three of them, Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, are fully indoors. The fourth, Yas Waterworld, is an outdoor water park.
Most visitors have time for one or two of them. This guide compares all four and flags what’s closed right now, so you can pick the right one for your group.

Ferrari World: for thrill-seekers
Ferrari World sits under the famous red roof and is air-conditioned to about 24°C. Most visitors spend 6 to 8 hours there.

- Flying Aces reaches up to 120 km/h on its way through that record loop.
- Turbo Track launches you 64 metres up and out through the red roof.
- Mission Ferrari adds launches, backward loops and sideways drops.
- Fiorano GT Challenge races two coasters side by side in F430 Spider cars.
- For younger drivers there are small racing cars and gentle rides, many open to riders under 1.1 m.
Good to know: Formula Rossa, the 240 km/h launch coaster, has been closed for maintenance since May 2026. The park hasn’t given a reopening date (checked November 2026). If it’s the reason for your trip, check the park’s ride updates first. Everything else is running as normal.
Warner Bros. World: the family favourite
Warner Bros. World is fully indoors, with 29 rides and family attractions across six lands: Metropolis, Gotham City, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros. Plaza. It usually opens at 11am and closes at 7pm or 8pm. At weekends and on holidays it can open at 10am and close later.

- Metropolis is Superman’s city, with Justice League: Warworld Attacks and Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey. The newest ride, Kryptonite Collider, is here too.
- Cartoon Junction has Tom and Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin, Scooby-Doo: The Museum of Mysteries and more Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera favourites.
- Bedrock and Dynamite Gulch have the Flintstones’ Bedrock River Adventure, Fast and Furry-ous with the Road Runner, and gentle rides for small children.
Children aged 11 and under must be with an adult.
What about Harry Potter? Three Harry Potter-themed lands are being built at the park. Miral, which runs Yas Island’s parks, is aiming to finish construction in 2029, but no opening date has been announced. For now, you can’t book them.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi: for animal lovers
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi opened in 2023. It’s spread across eight “realms” on five indoor levels. It’s open every day from 10am to 6pm.
- Endless Ocean is the park’s showpiece. It’s the world’s largest multi-species aquarium, holding 25 million litres of water and more than 68,000 animals.
- Antarctica and the Arctic have seven kinds of penguin in a properly cold realm. They also have Hypersphere 360°, a dome theatre ride.
- Live shows and animal presentations run through the day. Check the times when you arrive.
- Gentler rides through coral worlds suit younger visitors.
There are no orcas at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Some realms are kept cold, so bring a light layer.
Yas Waterworld: for a warm, sunny day
Yas Waterworld is the only outdoor park of the four. An expansion in April 2026 took it to more than 70 rides, slides and attractions. It’s usually open from 10am to 6pm, but hours change with the season. Most visitors spend 5 to 6 hours there.

- Matamir’s Drop is the UAE’s tallest waterslide, at over 40 metres.
- Bandit Bomber, the region’s longest suspended coaster, flies over the park.
- For families there are big round rafts, a lazy river, wave pools, Bubble’s Barrel surf wave and splash zones with free life jackets.
Good to know: some rides close for maintenance. In October 2026, Dawwama and Falcon’s Falaj were closed until further notice. Some days are ladies only, so check the park’s site the day before. You’ll need proper swimwear. Jeans, long trousers and clothes with zips or metal fasteners aren’t allowed.
Which park should you pick?
- Teenagers after speed: Ferrari World. Check Formula Rossa’s status first.
- Children under 10: Warner Bros. World, then SeaWorld.
- Mixed ages, grandparents included: SeaWorld. It’s calmer, with plenty to see between rides.
- A hot day, or rain: any of the three indoor parks.
- A warm, sunny day and a group that loves water: Yas Waterworld.
Can you do two parks in one day?
Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld are neighbours, so it’s tempting. But each park fills most of a day, and doing two means rushing both. We’d give each park its own day. If you’re staying in Dubai, that also gives the drive a better payoff.
Getting to Yas Island
- From Dubai: about 1 hour 30 minutes by car or taxi via the E11.
- From downtown Abu Dhabi: about 25 minutes by taxi.
- Parking: free at Warner Bros. World.
