Aquaventure World sits on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah, next to Atlantis, The Palm. Atlantis calls it the world’s largest waterpark, and it holds the Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark: more than 105 slides, attractions and experiences across 22.5 hectares, plus a kilometre of private beach.
It’s a full day out, and the ticket prices are harder to compare than they look. Here’s what’s new and what’s closed this season, which towers and kids’ zones to head for, what tickets cost and how to get there by bus and monorail.
What’s new at Aquaventure in 2026
- Some areas are closed for maintenance. When we checked Atlantis’s booking site on 6 November 2026, a notice said Neptune Tower, Torrent River, Splashers Lagoon and Splashers Mountain were closed for maintenance. Neptune Tower is home to Leap of Faith and Shark Attack. If those are the reason for your visit, call the park on +971 4 426 2666 before you go.
- A fourth kids’ zone is on the way. Atlantis’s website lists Splashers Mountain as coming soon, with bigger slides, giant tipping buckets and play frames on several levels. No opening date had been given when we checked.
- Ticket and price dates. Our AED 259 open-dated ticket works on any day until 30 December 2026. Dolphin Bay prices go up from 20 December.

Prices checked on 6 November 2026, VAT included. Atlantis’s prices are for visits from 6 to 14 November, as its booking site showed them that day, and they change by date. Our booking card always shows our live price.
Our ticket is one price for everyone aged 3 and over and open-dated: go any day the park is open until 30 December 2026. The e-ticket arrives by email straight after payment. It covers the waterpark, its private beach and Surf’s Up, but not the Lost World Aquarium.
For adults, ours was AED 21 to 51 cheaper than the park’s own price on the dates we checked. For children under 1.2 m, the park’s junior ticket is sometimes cheaper than ours, and UAE residents pay less at the park on weekdays with an Emirates ID. If either applies to you, compare before you book.
The three slide towers
The big rides are grouped in three towers. Some are for riders 1.2 metres and taller.
- Neptune Tower is the original. It has Leap of Faith, a near-vertical drop into a clear tube through a lagoon full of sharks, Shark Attack, which also runs through the Shark Lagoon, and a set of tube rides. It was on the maintenance list on 6 November 2026.
- Poseidon Tower has the group rides Aquaconda and Zoomerango, the tall drops of Poseidon’s Revenge, and Slitherine, where two riders race side by side.
- Trident Tower has many of the record-breaking rides, with group rides and mat racers. At Immortal Falls, you can jump from its cliffs into the lagoon.
Aquaventure also calls Odyssey of Terror the world’s tallest waterslide.

For young children: the Splashers zones
Away from the towers, Atlantis has built separate zones for children, which together it calls the world’s largest kids’ zone.
- Splashers Lagoon is for toddlers, with shallow water and gentle rides. It was on the maintenance list on 6 November.
- Splashers Island has six slides for young children.
- Splashers Cove suits older children and pre-teens.
- Splashers Mountain, with bigger slides and giant tipping buckets, is listed as coming soon.
Bring armbands and swim nappies for small children. Atlantis’s ticket site says guests must be at least 12 to enter without an adult.
Rivers, the beach and Surf’s Up
Between rides, the rivers carry you around the park. Some drift slowly under waterfalls, others are proper rapids. Surf’s Up, a wave machine by the entrance, is included in the day pass. There’s also a kilometre of private beach looking back at the Dubai skyline.

For food, Wavehouse pairs burgers and pizzas with bowling and arcade games, and Barracudas is air-conditioned.

Next door: Lost World Aquarium and Dolphin Bay
Lost World Aquarium
The aquarium inside Atlantis reopened as the Lost World Aquarium in October 2025, after a rebuild. You walk through 14 themed chambers with more than 65,000 marine animals, and a mermaid show, Return of Trident, runs daily at 12pm, 2pm, 5pm and 7pm. It’s open every day from 11am to 8pm. Atlantis warns that it uses flashing lights and loud sound.
Our ticket costs AED 79 for everyone aged 3 and over, any day until 31 December 2026. Atlantis’s own price for 6 November was AED 170 for adults and AED 125 for juniors under 1.2 m.
For both on the same day, also compare Atlantis’s Day Pass + Lost World ticket: AED 300 for an adult on Friday 6 November and AED 340 on Saturday 7 November. Our two tickets together cost AED 338, and you can use them on different days.
Dolphin Bay
On Bloomtopia, every Dolphin Bay experience includes same-day entry to Aquaventure. Adults pay AED 649 for the Meet and Greet at the pool’s edge, AED 789 for the Dolphin Encounter in shallow water, and AED 879 for the Dolphin Swim (confident swimmers aged 8 and over). Prices go up from 20 December. Atlantis’s own Day Pass + Dolphin Encounter was AED 875 for an adult when we checked on 6 November.
How to get to Aquaventure by bus, Metro, monorail or taxi
Aquaventure is at the far end of Palm Jumeirah. Without a car, the last leg is the Palm Monorail, which stops right by the waterpark entrance.
By bus. RTA bus 8 stops at Palm Jumeirah Monorail Station on King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, a short walk from the monorail’s Palm Gateway station. Route 8 runs between Ibn Battuta bus station, next to Ibn Battuta Metro station on the Red Line, and Al Baraha bus station in Deira, along the coast through JBR, Dubai Media City and Jumeirah. Buses come about every 20 minutes, and the ride from Ibn Battuta takes about 30 to 40 minutes. The fare is AED 3, 5 or 7.50 on a Nol Silver card, depending on how many zones you cross. Check RTA’s S’hail app for today’s times.
By Metro and tram. Take the Red Line to Sobha Realty or DMCC station and change to the Dubai Tram. Ride it to the Palm Jumeirah tram stop, which connects to Palm Gateway. The tram runs from 6am (9am on Sundays) until 1am, and you pay with the same Nol card.
Then the monorail. From Palm Gateway, the Palm Monorail runs the length of the Palm to Atlantis Aquaventure station, the last stop. Trains leave every 15 minutes, from about 9am to 10pm. When we checked on 6 November 2026, a single from Palm Gateway cost AED 20 and a return AED 30, and a family pass for four people cost AED 99 return. Children under 5 or under 110 cm ride free. Buy tickets online or at the station’s customer service desk.
By taxi. Ask for Aquaventure Waterpark. You’ll be dropped at the entrance to The Avenues at Atlantis, The Palm, a short walk from the Aquaventure Ticketing Plaza. Atlantis puts the drive from Dubai International Airport at about 35 minutes.
By car. After the tunnel at the end of the Palm’s trunk, turn right onto Crescent Road, then right again at the first roundabout into the Aquaventure car park. A free shuttle takes you to the Ticketing Plaza.
Tips for your visit
- Arrive at 10am, when the park opens, and do the big slides first.
- Swimwear only: one-piece, two-piece, Speedos, rash guards, board shorts or burkinis.
- Food and water: outside food isn’t allowed, but you can bring up to half a litre of water each.
- Towels and lockers cost extra. Pay for them at the Ticketing Plaza. Atlantis also sells a fast-track pass called AquaXpress.
- Sun: winter is the most comfortable time to go, but bring sunscreen and take breaks in the shade.
Is Aquaventure worth it?
If you like slides, yes. There’s enough for a full day, from the towers to the rivers and the beach, and the Splashers zones give younger children their own space. This month, check whether Neptune Tower has reopened before you go, as it holds Leap of Faith. Get there for opening time, and add the Lost World Aquarium if you have the energy left.
