Global Village is Dubai’s winter festival park: 29 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, food from around the world, a funfair called Carnaval and shows every evening. It opens only in the cooler months, and Season 31 runs from 14 October 2026 until May 2027.
This guide covers what’s new this season, when to go, what tickets cost, what you pay for inside, and how to get there by bus, Metro or car.
What’s new in Season 31
- Season dates. Season 31 opened on 14 October 2026 under the theme “A More Wonderful World” and runs until May 2027. Global Village hasn’t given an exact closing date yet.
- Pavilions. Sri Lanka, part of the Bangladesh pavilion last season, now has a pavilion of its own, and the Russia pavilion has expanded to include Azerbaijan. Syria and Kuwait are back with new façades.
- A new roller coaster. Tokyo Rush, with sharp turns and a loop, opens later in the season. No date had been announced when we checked on 8 November 2026.
- New shows. Bollywood Idol tells the story of two brothers through music and dance, and Bank Heist is an acrobatic show. Slam is back, and the Kids Theatre has Care Bears and PJ Masks.
- Passports. A redesigned Season 31 Passport and a new Kids Passport, with a stamping station in every pavilion.
- Sunday is now a weekend day. Global Village’s cheaper weekday ticket covers Monday to Thursday only.
- Our ticket dates. Our AED 29 ticket works on any day until 27 November 2026.
Opening hours and the best time to go
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Sunday to Wednesday | 4pm to midnight |
| Thursday to Saturday | 4pm to 1am |
| Public holidays | 4pm to 1am |
Tuesdays are for ladies and families only, except on public holidays, so plan around that if you’re going with a group of friends.
Arrive at 4pm, or just before sunset, to see the pavilions in daylight and again once the lights come on. Monday to Thursday is quieter than the weekend. Head to the rides early in the evening, before the queues build, and save the Festival Wheel for after dark.
Last season, fireworks went up at 9pm every Friday and Saturday, with Tuesday shows added from November. Weekly parades and fireworks are expected again this season, so check the times in the Global Village app on the day.
Ticket prices for 2026–27
| Ticket | Bloomtopia | Global Village’s own price |
|---|---|---|
| Any day, including weekends and public holidays | AED 29 | AED 30 |
| Monday to Thursday (not public holidays) | AED 29 | AED 25 |
| Under 3, 65 and over, People of Determination | Free | Free |
Prices checked on 8 November 2026, VAT included. Our ticket is open-dated: one price for everyone aged 3 and over, for any day until 27 November 2026, from 4pm. The e-ticket arrives by email straight after payment. At checkout, 27 November shows as the date. That’s the last day you can use the ticket, not the day you have to go.
At weekends and on public holidays, ours costs AED 1 less than the park’s Any Day ticket. If you’re going Monday to Thursday, Global Village’s own weekday ticket is cheaper, at AED 25. People of Determination can bring one companion in free, and free entry needs ID.
Entry doesn’t include the rides. Carnaval rides and some attractions are paid for separately with a Wonder Pass, a card you load with points at the ticket counters, online or at machines inside the park. Food and shopping are extra too.
The pavilions
The pavilions are the heart of Global Village. There are 29 this season, representing more than 90 cultures, and each has its own shops, food and performers. Across the park there are more than 3,500 shopping outlets, selling everything from crafts and textiles to spices and sweets.
Pick up a passport at the start: every pavilion has a stamping station, and children have their own Kids Passport. The Gardens of the World, a landscaped walk between the Egypt and China pavilions, has updated design touches this season, and the Cultural Gate has new LED lighting.
Carnaval, shows and the Festival Wheel
Carnaval is the funfair, with more than 200 rides and games this season, from gentle rides for small children to thrill rides. The Dragon Kingdom, The Horror Hotel, Secrets of the Lost City and Exo Planet City are all back, and Tokyo Rush joins them later in the season. The Festival Wheel has redesigned carts, and RTA runs two electric abras on the water inside the park.
Global Village plans 40,000 shows across the season, from music and dance to acrobatics, on the Main Stage and around the pavilions. Concerts and festival nights are listed on its website and app.

Food: 250 places to eat
Most people come hungry. There are more than 250 places to eat this season, from street-food stalls and the Floating Market to sit-down restaurants.
- New at Restaurant Plaza: Robo Al Sham for Levantine food, Hawawshi Al Rabie for Egyptian dishes and Chicking for fried chicken.
- Also new: Trabzon Turkish Restaurant, and three cafés: Vinci Dolci, Emir Bey Gourmet and Uzungol Café.
- Dessert District has a new façade.
Carry some smaller notes, as not every stall takes cards.

How to get to Global Village by bus, Metro or taxi
Global Village is in Dubailand, off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). There’s no Metro station nearby, so the cheapest way there is one of RTA’s seasonal buses.
By bus. RTA runs four Global Village routes for the season. 103 leaves Union bus station every 40 minutes, while 102 from Al Rashidiya, 104 from Al Ghubaiba and 106 from Mall of the Emirates leave every 60 minutes. Reports this season put the fare at AED 10 to 12 one way, paid with a Nol card. Check RTA’s S’hail app for today’s times, including the last bus back.
By Metro. Each of those bus stations sits by a Metro station: Union on the Red and Green Lines, Al Ghubaiba on the Green Line, and Mall of the Emirates and Centrepoint (for Al Rashidiya) on the Red Line. Ride the Metro to the one nearest you, then take the bus.
By bus from Ajman or Ras Al Khaimah. Ajman runs a Global Village bus from Al Musalla Station for AED 25 one way, paid in cash or with a Masar card. Ras Al Khaimah runs one on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, leaving at 3pm and 5pm, for AED 30 one way. Check the return times before you set off.
By taxi. It’s about 20 to 30 minutes from Downtown Dubai outside rush hour, and longer on busy weekend evenings. Ask for Global Village, and you’ll be dropped near the gates.
By car. P1, P3 and P5 are free and about 400 to 450 metres from the Gate of the World, but they fill up fast in the evening. At weekends and on busy days, free overflow car parks P7 to P11 open about a kilometre from the Cultural Gate, with a free shuttle bus. Paid car parks cost AED 75 or AED 120 a day, and VIP parking costs AED 200.
Make a day of it: IMG Worlds next door
IMG Worlds of Adventure, the indoor theme park, is next door and opens at 12pm. Spend the afternoon on its rides, then take a short taxi ride to Global Village for the evening. Our IMG Worlds ticket costs AED 199 and works on any day until 16 January 2027. Our IMG Worlds guide covers the rides and height limits.
Tips for your visit
- Get the Global Village app for the map, show times and updates.
- Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet for hours.
- Bring a power bank and some smaller notes.
- Bring ID if you’re claiming free entry for anyone aged 65 or over, or for People of Determination.
- Plan around Tuesdays, which are for ladies and families only, except on public holidays.
Is Global Village worth it?
Yes, especially on your first winter in Dubai. Few evenings in the city pack in as much for the price of entry: food from dozens of countries, shopping, shows and a funfair in one place. Budget for food and rides on top, go Monday to Thursday if you can, and arrive before sunset. Our AED 29 ticket works on any day until 27 November.
